In early February 2006 , 3 C.U. received 55,000 eyed steelhead eggs, ready to hatch within a week from the Pa. Boat & Fish Commission. After 10 weeks of tender loving care the young steehead trout were transferred to 3 C.U.'s raceways. The fingerlings one and a quarter inches long will be released in the spring of 2007 into the lake, at that time they will be 7-10 inches in length and 13 months old, 5 months later they will return to the tributaries 14-20 inches in length. These fish will spawn in the fall of 2008.

In late April 3 C.U. will receive 50,000 one and a quarter inch fingerlings and another 50,000 fingerlings from the Pa Boat & Fish Commission. These fish will be released in the spring of 2007, 7 to 10 inches long. These fish will spawn in the spring of 2009.

3 C.U. began releasing this years fingerlings March 15th., the fingerlings were 7-10 inches long and as of April 11th. they were still in the creeks waiting for the urge to go into the lake. 3 C.U. expects to finish stocking this years stocking by May 1st.

3 C.U. helped the Wesleyville Conservation Club ( charter club of 3 C.U. ) with the construction of an addition to their present raceway. The $ 6,000 donation will help to expand the number of trout raised from 3500 to 8500 fish.
